| THE TWO ELECTED SEATS ON THE LAKESIDE COMMUNITY COUNCIL HAVE BEEN FILLED Two residents filed their candidacy for the open seats. Since only two candidates filed, no election by ballot will be held. Meredith Coopman and Barb Miller will fill these seats for a 3-year term beginning June 1, 2012 and ending May 31, 2015. Thanks, Meredith and Barb for volunteering. The Council has 6 elected seats and one (1) Commissioner-appointed seat. The Commissioner appointed seat expires May 31, 2012. We need someone from Lakeside to take this seat. If no one applies, the Commissioners will choose for us. Let's control our own destiny!!! Please consider volunteering for the Council. We have until July 31, 2012 to raise the "matching funds" ($40-42,000) required for the Blacktail Trail. As of 4/17/201, we already have $9,310 or 22.2% of what's needed. If we don't have the matching funds by July 31, Lakeside will lose the $300,000 in county/state funding for the trail.
